Right when I was born
the lord sent me an angel.
An angel to protect me,
An angel to watch over and love me.

I always sought advise from her
all throughout the years.
I depended on her every thought.
And it was always her
who wiped away my tears.
She taught me many things -
"To always speak from the heart".
She always showed she loved and cared,
It her to always understand.
She never intentionally hurt me,
and for that
she has all my love.
She's the angel -
The angel sent from high above.

She knows most of my secrets,
right down to my first kiss.
She knows my length of patience
and still she always forgives.
All she has to do is look at me,
and deep down within my soul
she'd see
If I was hurt, scared, or happy.
She knows all the sides to me.

She was the one who carried me through
those nine painful months.
The one who made me the lady I am
And the woman I'll become.
God must have had a really good day,
when he sent you here for me.
Of all the angels in heaven,
You were meant for me.

And, now that her life on earth is done,

Make it hard to see the sun.

Tomorrow is a brand new day;
May the pain and sadness lighten.
I will remember all her love,
And then the sky will brighten.

Gone is not forgotten;
Her love reminds behind;
She's traveled in a new direction -
Love knows no space or time.

I will always love her.

God blessed and sent me to an angel called Mother.
Someone loving, to stand by me in the good
and not so good times
Someone sacrificing, who provided for me
even if she had to do without herself
Someone nurturing, who held and comforted
me through childhood hurts and pains
with her soothing voice and gentle touch
Someone wise, who saw what I was unable
to see in situations and especially in people
Someone who gave advice generously,
even when I did not want it
And usually, often to my dismay,
ended up being right
I want to thank that someone
For all she did and all she has been
But most of all I want to thank God
for blessing me with such a wonderful
friend to help me in my journey through life
Thank you, Heavenly Father,
For my own personal angel -- MY MOTHER.
